About Alexa

Hi! I’m a birth doula from a small town in Lenawee County, Michigan, with a deep passion for pregnancy, childbirth, and supporting families through this beautiful journey. When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors, cooking, crafting, and being with my family and friends. I  feel so grateful to do work that truly fills my heart. My goal is to support you with my experience and expertise to ensure that you have a positive, empowering birth experience that aligns with your wishes and needs.

FAQ'S

Will a doula replace my partner?

Not at all! A doula can enhance your partners role by providing guidance, reassurance, and support so that they can be more involved and confident in the birth process.

What is a Birth Doula

A birth doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to a birthing person before, during, and shortly after labor. Unlike medical professionals such as doctors or midwives, doulas do not perform clinical tasks but instead focus on ensuring a more positive, empowering birth experience.

Do doulas only support unmedicated births?

No! Doulas support all types of births, including medicated births, inductions, C-sections, home births, and hospital births. Their role is to help you feel empowered and informed about your choices.

What if I have a high-risk pregnancy?

Doulas can still provide emotional and physical support during high-risk pregnancies. While they don’t replace medical care, they can help you navigate complex decisions, reduce stress, and support you through medical interventions.
